DRIVER'S LICENCE REGULATIONS
Driver's licence with IRS is very easy, fast and convenient to do online
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
You will have to log in so as to get your bio-data populated.
IRS issues Driving licence in collaboration with the Federal Road Safety Commission
(FRSC)
You must have obtained a learner’s permit from our office and passed your driving test supervised by the V.I.O. (Vehicle Inspection
Office) officers.
The system will generate a confirmation page for you displaying your name, transaction
number
and amount
payable
after your application form has been submitted successfully.
You are expected to print out your confirmation page and keep it for documentation
purposes.
Your learner’s permit will be withdrawn in exchange for your driving
licence.
You are assured of confidentially when you deal with IRS.
ABOUT FRSC
The FRSC (Federal Road Safety Corps) was established by the Federal Government to monitor Road/Traffic administration.
It is the FRCS’s responsibility to produce driving licence to qualified applicants throughout
Nigeria
through Internal Revenue Service in each State. The FRSC patrols
highways to make sure that road/traffic regulations are observed by
drivers and violators arrested and prosecuted.
The FRSC has been positioned at strategic locations across the country to make sure that
speed limits are observed to reduce road accidents.
