CUSTOMS DOCUMENTS
Applicants are expected to provide the following customs documents;
Motor Vehicle Duty Certificate (Original)
Customs Declaration Form C2010 Page 5 (Original)
Customs Payment Schedule
Customs Revenue Receipt (with Bank's name)
Revenue Pay-In slip (with Bank's name)
NPA Vehicle Customs Examination Note
Certificate of Entry
Invoice
Marine Insurance Certificate
Bill of Lading

REGISTRATION CATEGORY
We have different types of vehicle licencing/ registration categories which
attracts different
fees.
Listed below are the different categories;
Special Number Plates
Out of Series
Articulated
Government Number Plates
Security Number Plates
Commercial and Regular Number Plates
SPECIAL NUMBER PLATE
The government makes provision for the well to do in the society to customise their
vehicle number plates. e.g OLUMO 1, OLOWO, SPEAKER, AWUJALE, etc.
Special Number Plate cannot be more than eight(8) characters.
OUT OF SERIES
These are hybrid vehicle number plates registration falling in between fancy number
plates and standard number plates. No matter the arrangement, the suffix of the
number must belong to one of the Local Government in the state i.e, TRE, AYE etc.
Applicants are not to use alphabets that relates to any government body or agency
or another state prefix i.e.,
PF - Police Force
NA - Nigerian Army
BA - Bauchi State
ARTICULATED
This is the provision of three(3) Number Plates to applicant. This applies to a
particular type of vehicle(Lorries and Heavy Duty vehicles).
GOVERNMENT NUMBER PLATES
These are unique number plates given to government establishments on request.
IDENTIFICATION OF NUMBER PLATES
Private number plates - other alphabets, blue colour.
Commercial number plates - starts with X and red colour.
Allocation of numbers for commercial registration starts with 101 instead of 01
Government - green plates
Motorcycle private starts with Q (blue colour)
Motorcycle commercial starts with Q (red colour)
